Add New Item

  1. Go to the Payroll Items tab
  2. Click Add New
  1. Enter a name to use on the payslips
  2. Enter a name in English.
  3. Description – describe payroll items for internal information
  4. Click Next
  1. Choose payroll items type, for example, “Annual Salary.”
  2. Click Next
  1. Check Semimonthly Payment if this payroll item will be paid to employees twice per month.
  2. Select Chart Of Account (we use Other Current Asset types in QuickBooks Online).
  3. Click Next
  1. Select Chart of Account to track this payroll item expense, for example, “66000 Payroll Expense.
  2. Click Save & Close
